Duties:

  • This includes assisting the cook manager in daily tasks such as; hiring, scheduling, maintaining inventory, evaluating employee performances, and ensuring excellent operations.
  • The job has a variety of tasks that will take a skilled and organized individual.
  • Assist in training, promoting, and maintaining an excellent service staff.

  • Must be well-spoken and comfortable dealing with the public.
  • Experience is a plus, but is not necessary. We provide training and instructions for all positions.

What are the working hours for the Assistant Cook Manager position?

Here are some typical working hours that could be expected for an Assistant Cook Manager position:

  • Standard full-time is 40 hours per week, usually split over 4-5 days.
  • Hours will likely include evenings and weekends to oversee dinner/weekend shifts. being available during peak hours is important.
  • Dinner shifts usually start between 2-4 pm to prepare for the evening rush, with closing duties until 10-11 pm.
  • Weekend day shifts may be 10 am-6 pm or 11 am-7 pm to cover lunch and early dinner service.
  • Rotating schedules are common so the manager is available to cover all shifts as needed. Flexibility is important.
  • Occasional extended hours may be needed for inventory counts, special events, or deep cleaning projects outside of regular hours.
  • Mostly daytime hours could be possible at some franchises with lighter evening service. But availability nights/weekends is typically expected.
